Salem Thirunangaigal Nala Sangam (STNS) is a dedicated organization focused on advocating for the human rights of transgender people, men who have sex with men (MSM), and female sex workers (FSWs) in the Salem region. Our primary goal is to ensure this marginalized community has access to essential rights, welfare programs, economic opportunities, and social recognition, thereby empowering them to engage politically and live with dignity.Our vision is to create moments of hope and joy for the communities we serve. We uphold transparency and gender equality as fundamental principles that guide our actions. By fostering an inclusive atmosphere, we strive to uplift and motivate our target communities, allowing them to flourish and contribute positively to society.
STNS runs various programs focusing on targeted interventions supported by TANSACS, Social Protection and Key Population (SP and KP Grants) the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and in collaboration with partners such as Saathii, Swathi Mahila Sangha, and Taaras. These initiatives provide social support and Legal services, ensuring that the comprehensive needs of TGs, MSM, and FSWs are addressed.

We dedicate ourselves to advocating for the rights of sexual minorities while raising awareness about their challenges and fostering an environment conducive to their full societal participation. Through collaboration and shared efforts, we are committed to overcoming barriers and promoting understanding and acceptance.
STNS engages with diverse communities in Salem, focusing especially on those who experience stigma and discrimination based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. Our main objectives include improving the quality of life for those in our community, promoting their rights, and ensuring they have access to the support and resources they need.
